I have great passion in promoting and protecting social justice through being part of humanitarian and development programmes which support meaningful access to resources; participation; diversity; equity; and human rights mainly for the benefit of the impacted population. I see this commitment resonating very well with what I want to achieve at personal level, and also contribute towards attainment of most of the Sustainable Development Goals. I think history will not only judge us by what we did, but also what we failed to do for those in need of assistance. I am bringing with me over 15 years of diverse experience of working in the Microfinance Industry (6yrs), NGO Industry (19.8 years), and Consultancy Industry (10 years). As a result, I’ve deep understanding and expertise in the design and backstopping of huge, complex, and multi-sectoral donor funded programmes in Southern Africa and South- East Asia. Areas of expertise include: donor and stakeholders’ engagement, donor reports and compliance, grants management, financial inclusion and business development. capacity building of L/I NGOs on how to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate impactful Programme; and consultancy. I was heavily involved in the design, implementation, management and evaluation of the two phased education Programme (IGATE T and IGATE) funded by FCDO under the GEC window. I have successfully built capacity of over 50 L/INGOs in micro enterprise development through tried and tested models: Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs), Selection Planning, and Management of Income Generation Activities (SPM of IGAs), Financial Literacy, and other entrepreneurial development initiatives. I am a seasoned trainer/facilitator, who’ve worked in different contexts in Southern Africa and South -East Asia. I am a team player, and have demonstrated the ability to work in multi- cultural settings. This includes staff and team management, fluency in English both verbal and written, and high computer literacy skills. I am good at maintaining confidentiality having worked with senior managers and donors, identifying priorities under pressure, completing tasks effectively under pressure, and meeting deadlines. I have also worked and managed diverse groups that have enhanced my skills to discuss sensitive issues with empathy and consideration of different considerations. Throughout my career I have always initiated things with pride, and have demonstrated commitment to learning and quality improvement. As such, I am a reliable, self-motivated, and flexible leader, who is always agile to respond to emerging opportunities. More so, I have successfully led a safeguarding component.
